There are weddings which feel like a party with a bit of marrying tacked on at the front. And then there are celebrant led weddings where the ceremony is the thing – the beating heart of the whole day, the moment that sets everything in motion. Becki and Nick’s Talton Lodge wedding in Warwickshire, was was the latter.

Talton Lodge had been on Becki’s radar for years. She’d spotted it while scouting for a 40th birthday venue but quietly filed it away in a secret notebook of wedding ideas. There was a secret wedding Pinterest board too, which she’d wistfully named “One Day”! Well, that day finally arrived on a perfect sunny Saturday in June; blue skies, fluffy clouds, birds singing – it was an absolute gift.
Here’s a little taster from their story, which sat at the heart of their ceremony:
”
In many ways, Becki and Nick found each other at exactly the wrong time. Nick had not long bought a house – a wreck in fact. He was single at the time and the plan was that he’d spend the next few years ploughing himself into the renovations. When Nick reflects on the early days of their relationship now, he still can’t understand why Becki put up with him. She’d come over to spend the weekend, they’d have a lovely Friday evening and then he’d wake up bright and early on Saturday and announce “Right, I’m building a bathroom today. What are you doing?” But despite often playing second fiddle to the DIY, Becki had no complaints. She loved being able to spend the day pottering around Leamington picking up ingredients to feed the busy worker! The kitchen was disgusting but she still managed to whip up jambalaya or tapas that was so delicious it practically blew Nick’s mind. Admittedly the bar was set pretty low. When Becki wasn’t there he existed mostly on tinned Stag chilli and chicken kievs, but even so!
The beautiful thing is, what started out as a solo renovation project, became Nick’s mission to build a home for the two of them. He’ll admit quite freely that the place would be awful now if Becki hadn’t come along and injected some much needed soft touches and style.”

Having declared that their happiest times with their friends had been spent dancing and having fun in fields, recreating that festival vibe became top priority! Their Talton Lodge Wedding became “Becki and Nick’s WedFest”, and it more than delivered!

Laura is simply amazing. Our ceremony was incredible – beyond what we had hoped for. And honestly, every single person said how beautiful, funny and meaningful it was and how they’d never experienced anything like it.
Our friends felt relaxed, included, connected and I truly believe the entire day was set up for success because of the ceremony we started with. The dance floor was full the entire night – families blending, friends making new friends, swapping numbers, reaching out to each other. It really did bring everyone together. It was just incredible.
FYI, if you’re looking for a venue which offers it all, Talton Lodge has you covered. There’s a manor house with beautiful landscaped gardens on one side of the country lane and on the other side is a large tipi, yurts for guest accommodation, even a swimming pond! It’s perfect for couples who want to start their day with a touch of grandeur but end with festival vibes.
